Getting back on track

Hello everyone, good to be back on the board.   Had RNY on 11/6 and it did not go quite as expected but I am getting better each day.  Still have my G-tube in and that causes some discomfort.  Had open surgery- and had over 100 lesions (sp) on my stomach lining.  What that was about, no one is sure.  Anyway, they were afraid of infection, so my two day hospital stay (I thought) turned into 16 days in the hospital.  Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.  Still awful sore, tired and  weak, but I am better than last week and am sure I will be better next week.  I see my surgeon this Friday so will find out how things are really going!

WOW!  That sounds like quite the ordeal!  I'm sorry you had to go through it, but I hope everything is on the upswing from here on out -

Please do share whatever you might find out about those lesions - anything you learn about your experience can potentially educate others, although that sure sounds like a unique situation.

Take your time to heal...  you'll never regret treating your body with TLC!

Yes, the Dr. said I was a 'difficult" case and I was at the top of his list for difficult surgeries.  I will hopefully find out more when I sit in his office Friday.

Yikes!  That must have been scary for you.  Hopefully, things will only get better from here.  I do hope you are letting your little dogs take care of you while you recover.
