This is our favorite time of year! Too often we bury ourselves in the throws of just preparing for Christmas - cooking, shopping, wrapping, and scurrying here and there to catch last minute "forgets." But if we look beyond the material gifts, the delicacies, the plum puddings and shining lights, we find a man who, with love in His heart, put aside all worldly possessions to lose Himself in the service of others. There may have been "no room in the inn," but there must be room in our hearts to reverence the joy and sacredness of this holiday season.
Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, and quietly building new structures.
--John F. Kennedy
It isn't that easy. We still may have arguments about things we're doing. We may still disagree with our families. We may still find ourselves in conflict from time to time.
At times like these, we can remind ourselves we're the only one we can change. We can use what we've learned help us. The more we do this, the easier it gets, and the more peaceful our lives become.
Today let me do one thing to eliminate a conflict.

The world can't take it away."
