Tuesday Coffee Talk
Good morning. I have been up since 2:30. The dog woke me up to go potty and I couldn't go back to sleep. I got caught up in studies and reading and I even let Lucy sleep late on accident. She wasn't late leaving though! THANK GOODNESS! She's on her way, coffee in hand, and out the door headed to S'bux before work.
Our challenge for today is to get ready for the new. In a few weeks, we will start a new year. 2009 will be here and things will start new. I know I know! We haven't even gotten past Christmas yet, but you need to be thinking about what you want to set out to change and start a new in your life. We always make resolutions to do this or do that. Some don't believe in resolutions yet they stride to do something different. Lets begin to think about what we want NEW in our lives. What we want to start fresh at. What we desire to change and want to become. Do you want to get to goal? Do you want to have plastic surgery? Do you want to be a better person? What do you want NEW in your life? Whatever it is, I encourage you to set out to do it. YOU CAN DO THIS!!

I'm outta here to get ready to take Allison to school and to have another epidural. 2nd one in 3 weeks. I hope this one works. The last one did, but it didn't. Does that make sense? It did help the pain in my hip, but not the siatica. He thinks he can fix this. We will see. LOL Have a great Tuesday!!

Hey Randy - good luck with the shot! Chronic back pain sucks rocks. I've been dealing with it for 12 years this Friday! (That's the anniversary of my getting T-boned on my way to work.)
I did learn, however, that cortizone shots are not a lubricant, but a way to hopefully break down calcium build-up in a joint! So I will be talking with an ortho about that, 'cuz my last x-ray did show a growth, thanks to years of over-compensating for the pain by altering my posture. argh....

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Hmmm... you speak of NEW. As of Friday, everything in my life will be new and totally different! Am pulling up stakes and leaving my adopted homeland CANADA--for Tucson, Arizona. CAN YOU SAY MAJOR CHANGE?! I have found that when God closes doors, He makes sure you know those doors are CLOSED! BUT He also shows you that windows are open--and leads you to them! HOW WONDERFUL IS GOD?!
God has been teaching me so many things through these past months of finishing my university education and then job hunting. I am so glad that He is a patient teacher! 'Cuz sometimes I'm just a real D'UH!! I will admit that at this stage of my life, with sooo much change going on, I am simply clutching the hem of His garment and letting Him lead the way. Who better to lead??
I am confident that He will provide me with a job in which I can put into practice those social work skills I have been accumulating over these past 5 years. And my major is Gerontology! What better place to work with the elderly than SnowBird Land??
Please keep me in your prayers, that I will continue to hear and feel God's presence in my life. You guys are in mine!
