Sleep Study
So i just had a sleep study about a week ago. I don't have apnea Yeah but they were looking for peripheral limb movement or restless limb syndrome. Anyone out there have that and what have they done done to treat it? I have my follow up with the doctor next week so I wont find out till then but the tech told me I slept very little and almost never was in "stage 4" sleep so that is why I am tired but never gave me the reason saying the dr would discuss the results with me. Just need to knwo what my options are. i am on ambien but I take the max dose and still don't sleep much. Thanks also for anyone wondering, I have an appt with a GI specialist tomrrow. I have had one bowel movement since thanksgiving and am uncomfortable. Nothing seems to move. I was told my intestines have a right hook at one point that is due to scar tissue nad probably the culprit so hopeuflly they will figure out something soon.
I have restless leg syndrom. Right now, we're trying to fix it by upping my iron levels. Mine were in normal range (low end) but the doctor said that they have had success with reducing leg movements in sleep when you have a ferritin level over 100.
I didn't want to go on another medication at the time. I think, though, I will talk to my PCP about a prescription.
