Hello everyone.

I was out of town for a week and half so its good to be back in the snow!!!

Hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas and finding the snow motivating!!   I love getting out and walking when the snow is falling and its still with no winds.

I had a question since I have been getting caught up reading what I have missed.
Is this board more social than WLS related?   I dont see alot of posts regarding the surgery it is more about OT things and such.
I was hoping this MN board would be abit more informational.

Just was curious.

Thanks

It is whatever we all make it!  Whenever someone posts a WLS related question or concern, we're certainly all over that!

But a lot of us have made some really good friends here as well, so yes, it can seem pretty social.

I think it's up to each of us to contribute what we want to see, and take from it what we want!

What would YOU like to discuss???    We're all "ears"!!!!

Hi I am fairly new and here and have introduced myself previously and started some posting but I am still pre-op and expecting just a few more months away for surgery.
I do see more information being posted on the main forum but in all fairness it covers all the states so many more people involved in posting.
Happy Holidays,

About 2 years ago, this board was FULL of questions about WLS and info related to it. Now it is more social and OT. My perspective is that all of those that were newbies back then have all had surgery and living the good life now so the board dynamics have changed.

We've tried to turn it back to more info related topics, but it just hasn't been happening.

Feel free to post what you want because it's important to do that. You may just be able to articulate something in particular that another member was finding it hard to articulate, etc.

There's a lot of socializing on here but any time I've had a question, people have, as Darla said, all over it. I can always get answers to my questions.

But also, a lot of my questions have been answered at coffee on Saturday. If you can get to a coffee, they can also be invaluable sources of information.

I've been afraid to post too much actually, but that's my issue. I have soooooo many questions as I am just a little over a week out from surgery. I try to limit it to 1 post a day. There is just so much the books and doctors don't cover. I guess I could post on other boards but for some reason, this is the only board I'm comfortable on. I think that's probably because it is so much of a community and I've come to trust the advice of the people online. And because a bunch of people know me from coffee, they know me and my issues and their advice reflects that.

Always feel free to seek out information. Believe me, you'll get more answers than you can handle!

Anna, Don't limit yourself to 1 question a day.  Need to get the group primed for a bombardment of questions from me post surgery.
