Amy,

I so admire you for being able to share how you are felling. You tell it like it is, and I find that refreshing.

I am so sorry that this hasn't been an easy road for you. I totally understand why you feel the way you do. You have to do what is best for you!

Take care of you, and know that we are all praying for you, and cheering you on.
Kristi

Oh Amy, thank you for sharing.

You have been a great cheerleader for everyone here. All along struggling with your own issues. Obstacles are only bumps in the road to your destination and you have gone over those bumps to the best of your ability. You obviously are a very strong person, I can't wait to meet you someday. Saying things outloud is healing, keep talking if you need to.
 Blessing to you!!

HUGS TO YOU AMY!!!

You have been a great support to all of us and really have watched us transformed. I apprecaite all that you have contributed to my journey. You have always offered great insight to things and I have certainly learned from you. I would think that this would be hard for you to watch all of us as you are fighting your battle to have DS. I admire your dedication to the boards, working on getting approval, and being a constant cheerleader to other.  I completely understand if you need to take a break at any point.  Just know that we all adore you and want the best for you!!

Best wishes!!
God Bless, Angela

Honey,

I can completely understand where you're coming from - watching others shrink as you continue to fight your battles...it becomes too much at times!  I'm proud of you for sharing what you did and please know that we all LOVE you and LOVE your great smile and incredible disposition and attitude! And if you aren't the poster child for perservance and sticking to what's right for you regardless of the answer you get. There's something to be said for that type of commitment - you could have just thrown out all the research you've done and the decisions that you and your family made for your best just because then you would have gotten approved - but you are sticking to what's right and I know that someday you WILL be rewarded for it.  TRUST ME!!!  I fought for four years to get my surgery and when insurance said no and closed the proverbial door...God did, in fact, open a window and blessed me with an amazing friend who created the opportunity for me to have surgery!  I know your door seems closed right now, but a window WILL open - just remember to keep your eyes open for it - it may not look like what you're expecting!

Hugs and Love!

Amy,
Thank you for sharing all of that!  I can feel it coming straight from your heart.  I would for sure feel the same way about going to coffee and being happy for others....but that can only go so far.  You know, the day you get through the hoops with what you need to do, I believe we will all be So dang excited.  I'm sure we will have to celebrate many times in many different ways!   I feel for you and have so much repsect for your tolerance through this process!  UGH!  What a path you've been on.  We know, it will be so worth it in the end.  Big huge hugs for you!

boy can i relate to your post.
i started with coffee groups several years ago when i was losing.  they were great.
but a funny thing happened along the way.  i stopped losing - for several reasons - and those i had known at coffee were getting tiny (imho)
i recognize that devastating feeling - including the health issues cropping up and the decision to stop coffee club and posting.  they're an echo of my past.
even harder still, amy, was my decision that i needed to come back to coffee club.  it seems as though almost everyone is new.  and most of the people having this procedure now start out at a lower weight than i'm at currently.  omg
but the support and unconditional acceptance is SO important.  when (not if) you decide you're ready to be here again, please know that you'll be welcomed with open arms.  in the meantime, my wish for you is peace - inside and out.  i hope the choice you've made becomes a reality soon.  and that you, in the meantime, enjoy the holidays.
God bless

Amy,

Big hugs to you!  I can understand your feelings and frustration.  I am so sorry that this ha been such a long road for you.  I can tell you that you have been a true inspiration to me through the messages that you have sent me throughout my journey.  I want to thank you for that.  Thank you for congratulating me at milestones and after my posts.  I know that it must be hard to see those of us that have had surgery talk about success.  I know that you will one day have this success as well and I will cheer you on just as fervently!  BUT, you have been successful thus far in STICKING to your guns and being determined.  A lot of people would have given up a long time ago.  I have a lot of respect for you!  I can't wait to meet you someday!
