Mysterious ways is RIGHT (OT)
I guess I'm looking for prayers for my dear friend, June. She's the woman I posted about back in August, as I went with her as she needed a stent for a significant coronary blockage.
During those many tests, the doctors found a spot on her right lung, but didn't address it at that time as her heart was far more critical an issue.
Well, now that she's feeling much better and participating weekly in cardiac rehab, they put her through a hi-def scan for that lung spot. It has grown, and the docs are warning her that it doesn't look good. Yes, June was a heavy smoker for many years. But the "spot" they see is more of a shadow, which would be more indicative of the type of lung cancer that claimed the life of Dana Reeves several years ago. Harder to isolate and remove, not that she's healthy enough to tolerate any more surgery right now, anyway. Things don't look real good for my Junebug. I will probably go with her to meet the surgeon next Monday, as she's just too stressed to be able to comprehend everything he might say.
We all know here what the power of prayer can do, and has done. So if you are so inclined, June could sure use all the prayers she can get.
Odd thing is, if it wasn't for her heart problem, this spot may not have been detected until God knows when. And now her heart problem may make surgery for this extremely risky. Sometimes, it seems you can't win for losing...

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Oh Darla, I am so sorry about your friend. I will say a prayer that all turns out ok on Monday. It is so hard to understand sometimes why it is that people have to suffer so much with illnesses and crap like this....
You are a good friend and she should be blessed to have you in her life.

I'm sorry about June Darla!!! Prayers go out for her!
June is fortunate to have such a caring advocate and friend in you to be with her at her doctor visits. You're right about if the heart problem didn't show up, the spot would have gone un-noticed. Healing prayers for your friend, June.
