Trying to locate the information on the Emily Program and/or names of therapists that focus on WLS and the mind games it plays..

LANA BUTTACOFF!!!!  I absolutely love her and she is internationally known.  She ROCKS!!!!  I am at work so I don't have her number with me but I am sure you can google her and find the info......she is in St.Paul.

Dr Janice Maidman in St Lous Park off of 100 and Vernon.  She used to do PNC assessments for pre-surgery candidates.  Love her!!!

Yep, Dr Janice Maidman, at 5100 Willson Rd Edina.  I'd been seeing her prior to GP recommending WLS Mar. 2006--that's when I'd found it's her specialty!  Still see her on as-needed basis as that's my primary support source.  She is very professional, yet very personable and approachable.  She's the 'wind beneath my wings' per se.....best wishes to you, and anyone seeking professional  therapy!  Hugs, Patti

Dr Janice Maidman!  Excellent choice!  I was referred to her and started seeing her about a month and a half ago!

Lana Boutacoff's husband lives in CA, but she stills works here in St. Paul. I attend one of her support groups. As with any therapist, there needs to be a good fit. I personally would not want to see her individually. Also, she tends to focus on the pre-op therapy, not so much the post-op/emotional stuff.

I am getting connected into the Emily Program. Just google it and you can get the phone numbers for their various locations. All you have to do is call and say that you want an appointment for an assessment, and that gets the process rolling.
