A Santa Wow moment! (weight related)
I was reading a book to my second graders today. One second grade boy said to me after I finished the story, "Mrs. Nelson, You would need to gain a lot of weight if you wanted to dress up as Santa!" I was able to contain myself and not jump up and down and say, "I love you for saying that!" Phew......so thankful I held it together. On the inside that is what I was doing!
Earlier this week another second grader came up to me and asked me how much I weighed. I quickly realized I no longer needed to be ashamed of my weight and I told him. He did not think anything of it and just wanted to tell me what he weighed and how his weight helped him be a good karate kid. But for me, it was so much more. I realised I was not embarrassed anymore! :O) What a wonderful goal to get to!
Merry Christmas and remember to BELIEVE!!!!!!
