A big big change for me
I have not done much with my hair for years. Those of you who know me, you've only seen me with my hair up. I've done that for years. I stopped wearing makeup and really stopped trying to make myself pretty in the last year.
I decided when I was in the hospital for dehydration last weekend I wanted to cut my hair. It took me a week to get the nerve to make an appointment.
Today, I went to Phresh in St. Paul and had it cut and colored. Hadn't planned on the color (was going to do it at home but I decided what the heck, she had a cancellation and could do the color too.) Spent a lot of dough but it was worth it.
So, I now have shoulder length dark brown hair with red-violet highlights. It's so very different. I just love it.
Can't wait to show you at the Eagan coffee. New hair for a new me! This means I can't get away with putting it up anymore and if I have to do my hair, I'm going to do makeup. And that means I can't hide as much anymore. I'm going to have to discuss it in therapy tomorrow. LOL

Sounds like you like it whick is GREAT! I cut mine too! About 15+ inches off about a week after surgery. I figured if I was going to start losing it, I'd rather donate it first. I had it cut, colored and highlighted. What a difference! The only problem I have now is upkeep - now wonder I kept it long for SO many years. I think that I look better, but I don't so much care for taking time every day to do something with it.
Hi Anna, wow! Seems to be a wave (pun unintended!) of people getting hair style changes! Welcome to the world of hair coloring and highlights--rock on with all your positives! Looking forward to the pics--what a refreshing feeling, huh? I got four inches cut off a couple weeks ago.
