Cold Meds

Not sure if anyone is going to be on tonight but...

I'm sick. I seem to have picked up a chest cold. I don't have my list of meds I can't have with me as I am at work and I figured out I was sick on the way in to work.

I'm thinking of stopping at a 24 hr Walgreens on the way home. What can I take? I know it's gotta be tylenol based if it has a pain reliever in it. But beyond that, is mucinex ok? Anything I need to avoid besides aspirin and ibuprofen?

I have a nasty sore throat and a deep chest cough. I'm just sooooooo excited...I finally am getting past my WLS issues and then I get a cold. Plus, it seems everytime I get a cold like this, I get bronchitis too.

Sorry for the whining. Your help is appreciated!

I may not be much help - I still just take Nyquil.  It knocks me out more now since surgery, so sometimes I take a half dose if I need to get up oin the morning.  Sorry you are feeling yucky - get some rest.  Have sweet Christmas dreams!

Sorry ya feel crumby!  My PCP tells me to take Musinex but I am 2 yrs out.  I would double check with your WLS center.  Also if you have a sore throat I would go to one of those minute clinics because it's going around and better safe then sorry and then they give you meds to get rid of the gunk!
