How's everybody doing over the Holidays?
Hi everyone!!! Just thought I'd dash in and check too see how everyone is doing? I tell ya the first Thanksgiving/Christmas is over and too my delight I'm down 3 lbs at 127. I do have too say it was really difficult resisting temptations but with the support of family and Nicole G I made it through. I measured and I took my time eating. I pushed back my plate when I was full and left the table feeling satisfied. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and hope too see some of you at Eagan Caribou on sat.

Both Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went with weight loss for me. I am so thankful for my RNY and what it has done for me since August. I have been able to have sensible meals at both holidays and eat what others have been eating, just much less of course. No sweets this holiday season because I really don't want them and am afraid of getting sick.
My first post RNY meal was Christmas Eve and Day. Christmas eve I just started pureed diet and had some mashed potatoes and the yolk from a deviled egg & yogurt. Christmas day my mom made this cranberry pork tenderloin & yummy ginger carrots, both she pureed and it was SO good! I did nibble on a few pieces of chex cereal, which is not on the plan, but overall I did well and didn't miss out too much. I did really want the salad and bread last night, but oh well.

Hi!
Christmas Eve at my parents went very smooth! That has always been a tough place to go, my mom's a great cook and I guess I am used to grazing all day when I am at her house! I ate a small sensible meal , wasn't a bit tempted by sweets.
Christmas Day, I cooked at my home. I had a smoked turkey and made Swedish meatballs and several types of veggies. I ate 2 meatballs, turkey and some veggies. Once again, wasn't tempted one bit by sweets. I am only 4 months post op--but sure wish life would stay like this! I didn't lose any weight over the holidays, but I am totally fine with that!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. You are looking great!
