Moving and changing surgeons?

Has anyone ever moved far away after their surgery?

I applied for transfer to a different job with my company in Nashville (I am coming to hate winter so much). No clue whether I'll actually get it but I would love the job. I'd get to train government employees who are our customers and help with sales stuff for our products. It would be a cool combination of what I do now with a sales job, plus I'd get to actually be face to face with people rather than on the phone.

A bit early to be thinking about this but I was wondering how that would work for my followups.

just ask your current surgeon for a recommendation or pop over to the TN message board and ask some questions.  It might end up being dependant on your insurance too.

Hey Anna. I have experience with this. There are a LOT of surgeon's out there that will not accept other surgeon's patients. You may just have to find a good PCP in the city you move to keep track of you.

I agree with Farrah that there are some surgeons who won't take other surgeons patients, but I have been lucky here in Nevada, where I moved over 2 years ago. The bariatric clinic here said that they will accept patients who had other surgeons. They just wanted to have the surgical report from my surgeon. I was able to obtain this from my surgeons office in St. Paul.

I also checked on the OH Nevada board and was able to get so some info there.
