A couple sips of diet Coke should help you throw it back up.

****UPDATE - I got it up.  It was canned chicken w/ light mayo (about 1/4 C) that I put in the blender. I think I ate too fast and/or it was too dry.  I did eat a few papaya extracts shortly after I ate the chicken because it didn't feel right.  After about an hour, I took a sip of Sprite and a minute later it was feeling way worse, and then it came up.  Is there a way/trick to make yourself spit it up?  This was the most horrific feeling EVER!

Welcome to my world. I went to dinner with friends and ordered a grilled chicken breast last night and not even 2 bites in....I was in pain the rest of the night. I was able to get some of it back up at the restaurant and then had to deal with the fizzies. I was trying to keep a peaceful face when my honey said yes we would love to come over and play games!!!! A few more runs to the bathroom and an hour later i felt better. My nut says coke, meat tenderizer (not!!) or the papaya extract. Sorry it hurts!! I Know!! Think it will be a learning process for awhile.

OMG! If I was in a restraunt with this going on, I would have had to leave and go home immediately. No way to cover up the pain, or to stop the wimpering/crying.  My dogs were FREAKING ou****ching me suffer.

The first time it  happened to me, it was horrible. I was an absolute disaster!  I have had it happen 3 times since, all due to my own eating on the run, not chewing enough etc. It went alot easier those times. Just felt like really bad heartburn or something, and then it came back up easily.
I have yet needed to try the coke..at least I know that's an option if it's ever really stuck!

Glad it came up -- it's a learning process.  CHEW CHEW CHEW and if you think you've chewed enough, CHEW it again.  That's why meals take so long.  I can't do chicken white meat any where or in any type or form.  Too dry for my pouch no matter what I add to it -- even at 14 months out.  So I eat the dark meat and it goes down just fine.  You might be in the same boat.

The pop thing didn't work for me.  Fortunately, when I get something stuck, I'm able to get it up shortly after the foamies start (cause the pouch is already rejecting it back up).  I just deal with it until then -- and yep ---- IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!!!  A great reminder the pouch still work too!!!

I have gotten stuck quite a few times - 8 or 10? - and never had to resort to pop or anything.  Just knew the offending bits needed to come back out, so bending way over the porcelain, maybe touching the ol' punching bag in the back, and THAR SHE BLOWS!  Along with plenty of slime.  I knew I was done when the sliming was over.  (some slime, some foam.  I'm pretty sure it's essentially the same...)

Sorry you had to experience it, Kristy, but I think it's pretty universal.  Part of the whole learning to live with your WLS experience.  And like Barb, I've had to say buh-bye to white meat chicken.  Thighs are my friend, much as I used to think they were disgusting!  Breast meat is just too dry.

Live & learn, sweetie!
