Belly Dancing Class
I'm going to try something new and take a beginning belly dancing class through the Cassandra School.
It's on Saturdays at 11 in St. Paul, near Selby and Dale.
I don't know if anyone else would be interested but if you've always wanted to do something like that but wanted to have someone to take a class with, I'll be there. And you'd still have time to get to coffee in the mornings.
It's $120 for 10 weeks or $14 a class. Heck that used to be one day of fast food for me preop.

Thanks, Sandra. I'm really excited. I had done some informal learning about a year ago. I have an awesome scarf with lots of coins.
I was watching a DVD last night and most people don't know that there are like 20 plus styles of belly dancing. I am drawn towards Turkish Cabaret style. It's a bit more fun and lively. If I had to make a sexy face, I think I'd crack up laughing!
My friend Lenore is going to take the class too. She has been losing weight without surgery...but she admits it's a heck of a lot easier when you have a live-in boyfriend who is a health fanatic and ex-personal trainer and does all the cooking! Anyway, she is like me, now that she's losing weight , she's like me and wants to get more active and try new things. Probably about mid-year in 2009, we're planning on taking a pole dancing class! We think it will be a blast. Maybe people will want to join us for that! Hee hee.

What I'm thinking is that they do party packages, which would make it cheaper for a bunch of us to try it out without having to commit to one of their special courses which are like $300 a person, like $50-65 a person if we had 10 people. A 2 hour class on pole dancing and strip tease. Maybe a bit expensive for a night out but I think it would be a blast. For $75 a person, we'd get a male stripper! LOL For $85 we'd get food and wine AND a stripper. LOL So anyone, if this sounds interesting to you, throw $5 a week in an envelope and by then you'll have enough to do the class and a ****ty little outfit.
I'd love to do this for my birthday in August. (If I can find a way to swing it, I'd pay for part of the party.)
