Who exercised?

I'm going to post daily and ask who has exercised!    I'm thinking how good we feel and how proud we are when we do it and telling the board may be helpful?  Maybe this will help those of us who are on the fence and need a little push to get that body movin' and groovin'!    Just think 30 minutes a day...that's it!!!!!  It firms up those saggy spots, it's healthy for our hearts and emotionally keeps our attitudes positive!  Too many benefits to not do it!!!!!  Those of you who are already exercising, please post too.  Your energy is contagious!!!!!!  Yahoo......Let's go, go, GO!!!!!!!!!

Lisajoy-

I think that is a GREAT idea!!  I was already at the gym this morning- and I can tell you that I miss it if I am not there each day.  It is a great time to clear your mind and just listen to your body!  Unfortunately I have to take the rest of the week off from the gym, but will go for multiple walks each day in the hospital!!

Enjoy your last week of break!!

Thanks for the post, Lisajoy.
I just got off the treadmill.....30 minutes, mostly at 3mph, but some extra speed every once and a while.  Tomorrow, it's one of the lakes with a friend. That feels extra good.....like I'm a real Minnesotan. Bundle up, strap on some boots and go for it!!!

I have found adding regular exercise to my daily routine to be extremely difficult!  I'm absolutely NOT a couch potato, but joining a gym is not an option.  And it seems there are not enough hours in the day for me to add much between my full time job, being a mom to 2 teens and having a home to maintain.

BUT - having been stuck in this 4 pound "zone" for over 2 months now, I know in my heart that adding some exercise will be the trigger that trips my weight loss back into gear.  AND I GOT ME A NEW iPOD last week, so I'm DETERMINED to get some regular time in on my gazelle!

WISH ME LUCK!

I get it, I get it all too well...that is exactly why we need this post!  Even it if is a little bit.  Do what you can.  Post it!!!!!!    I got myself a workout CD, downloaded it to my ipod and used for my first time 15 minutes ago!!!!  It really helped.  I felt 20 years old movin' and grovin' to that funky music.  Ha!   :O)   Really, the music helps!!!!!!!  You go girl!  Good luck!   We can do this!!!!!

So, Lisajoy, you felt about 5 years younger listening to that CD? You look about 25 to me in your pic!

I've been taking my pilates class 2x's/wk (on holiday break right now)but have been wanting to get to the gym and on the elipticle machine.  I was so faithful all spring/summer/fall long getting out for a 3 mile walk but the cold weather and icy roads turned me into a whimp.  Hopefully this post will give me the inspiration I need to push me out the door and into the gym.

I did it!   Just completed the elliptical and bowflex!   Having my new workout CD from Target really pumped me up!   (That is not an easy thing to do either.)   Try music if you haven't already!  Yahoo!!!!!
Remember to have protein within an hour after you work out!   It does something good, but I forgot what and why within an hour?

OK- SInce you're talking exercise, I'd really like a treadmill for at home.  Who owns a treadmill, what brand/model and do you like it?  Even if you don't, let me know so I know what to stay away from.
