Bless your kewpie-doll heart, Lisa!
I DID get my exercise in last night! I popped the iPod ear buds in and hit the Gazelle, hoping to make it through 2 or 3 songs without stopping (figuring @ 15 minutes would be my max, since that was the best I could hope for in the past - I haven't seriously touched the thing in a LONG time!!)
The tunes - the tunes kept me going!! When I figured I'd hang it up, LOUD came on (by Big and Rich), and I went NUTS!! THANK GOD the Gazelle has hand bars, or I'd have flown off that sucker and ended up hurting myself!
I'd have kept it going, but after about 20 minutes of pretty intense "Gazelling", the kids needed me. I'm going to KEEP doing this on a nightly basis, so that they learn to accept it as a part of my daily routine. Last night, it would have been my reading time with Trav - so once he's back in school and we're back to our nightly reading time, I'll have to adjust to either EARLIER Gazelling, or post-kidlet-bedtime Gazelling!
(mental note to self... get some WD-40 on that squeak...)
