Happy New Year's!!!
I probably could've posted this with resolutions for '09 but wanted to make sure anyone with a Wii Fit wil see it and maybe answer me.
So the big gift from dh and self to each other was the Wii and the Wii Fit.  Did anyone else start out hopelessly unable to DO any of the games?  I tried the ski jump and ended up as a snowball at the bottom of the hill.  I tried the soccer ball and can't move fast enough to stop a ball.
   I can't get above UNBALANCED!
The games aren't even on my radar because I get dizzy from my Menier's, but I was hoping to self-improve on the WiiFit.  Anybody out there have the same stuff happen?   How long before it (I) get better?
   See you at coffee

We got a Wii and a Wii Fit for Christmas also.  I LOVE it!  Now mind you I almost threw it out the window when it made the lovely comment that balance isn't my strong point and then proceeded to ask if I tripped a lot when I walked.

The only suggestion I have is to keep trying.  The other thing that I have to keep reminding both me and my son is that it can't "see" what you are doing with your upper body.  Everything is controled based on the weight distribution of your feet.

Good luck and I hope you get the hang of it.  Personally I have lost 3 pounds this week already just doing my Wii fit 20-25 mins a morning and then playing games with my son in the evening.  SO worth the money!!

I totally LOVE my wii and wii fit!  My advice is just have fun, and don't worry about how you do.  You will eventually get better while having fun.

LOL ~ The rolling snow ball down the hill! ~
We would make a great team! ~ I do that well too! ~ But I found the more I tried the better I did.

Here is another funny for you....my hubby watched me do the hula hoop and started laughing.  He said he thought I was having a seizure, which only made me laugh harder and fall off the balance board.

Just have fun with it! ~   You will get better the more you try!

My kids have been a treat to watch learn how to run the thing!

With all this Wii talk, it's making me want to get one.   Where is the best place to buy and what ALL do you need to get if you want to have two people play?  I started looking online and am confused as to what comes standard, what games, what a Mii is, etc.

First, you have to start out with the Wii bundle, which is the basic Wii with the player, TV attachment and 1 remote.  A 2nd remote is optional.  We rarely use 2 remotes.  For some of the games you need the numchuck.  Boxing is one of my favorites and really gets your arms working.
You can usually find it at Walmart, Target, just about anywhere.

Call the Walmart in Inver Grove Hgts and ask if they still have the Wii Fit.  $89.95.

Have fun!!

We just got the Wii Fit for Christmas... ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I have been doing it 30-50 minutes a day every day. I don't much like the soccer game... but the other ones I love. I have unlocked every balance game already - just keep at it! It took me a little while to get the Basic Step! Now I have unlocked a lot of different things and it's just a blast!

Just like Kristy, as soon as I read your post...I was online reading all about it.  Sounds like a blast and I would definitely be joining the "Rolling Snowball Club"!!!  I should have tried it at Edi & Linda's craft party.  The last thing I played with was an ATARI!!!  I just figured out how to turn on/off my IPOD, would I be able to handle a WII????

We got a Wii for Christmas but I can't find a wii fit anywhere...

Anyone have any inside scoop?  I live in Hugo, but would be willing to drive a ways..
I have gained some great friends on this journey!
