As most of you know, support after WLS is so important!   I get so motivated talking to all people in all phases of wls.  It keeps us in check, don't you think?   I appreciate all of you!
Also, I appreciate honesty and good butt kickings when needed.  I hope I don't need any, but when I do, lay it on me!

I agree with you Lisa...even being 2.5 years out, I still learn from everyone...either something new or something I forgot about and should be doing.  I don't go to PNC meetings much anymore, but the support and friendships I've made thourhg going to coffee groups has really helped remind me what it's all about.

My dear friend Gloria is coming from Wisconsin tomorrow for a day of thrift store shopping and she has also been so happy to find support through me and through all the great "angels" that reached out to her when I posted about her surgery back in June.  She has told me over and over that when she gets down, she opens and rereads all the cards and notes this group had sent her, and that gets her motivated all over again.

Best wishes to all the newbies and continued success to all!

Hugs,
Edi

Lisa Joy!!!  It is through all the support that I receive from the wonderful people like you that I have met as a result of this surgery that I am able to be so successful with my tool.  I have met a wealth of people throughout all of this that have helped me so much in so many different ways.  You know that I don't mince words about things and like it when people are direct with me when I need my butt kicked too!

Your attitude and smile has really been a motivator for me, believe me!

Lisa you are so right about support!! I too love to talk with different people in different stages. For me its reconnecting with where I was and where I will be in the future. Its great to have this board and to have coffee groups to connect with those who "get it"!!! You have been a great support for me and I apprecaite you!!! Thanks

God Bless, Angela

Great post LJ! I think we are all very motivated for the New Year and our board and our connections from it will absolutely play a large part in continuing that motivation as the year progresses!

I totally agree with you LisaJoy!!  I remember being terrified to walk into my first coffee (I was 2 weeks post op) and walking out feeling like I had met the BEST people in the world!  I am thankful as this new year begins to pay that kindness forward for the people who are just finding the OH community.

Amy- You look absolutely FABULOUS!!  Keep up that knitting- it will definitely keep your mind off all the other things going on around you!!  You are going to totally rock your DS!!

See you all soon!

YEP - support is really important... for either those struggling or those doing well! Either way - we all need it.

The support of all you wonderful people is what keeps me going in the right direction. I would be lost without all the support and friendships I have made on this board.

Amy....you look so happy and so pretty!!

Hugs....connie d
