OT- Update on my Husband

My husband went back to the hopsital on Monday so he could be treated for the infection through IV antibiotics.  Well that wasn't working so on Wednesday they put in a drain to help drain the infection out of him and that didn't work.  Last night they decided to take him in and operate again.  I was so scared but knew it was the best thing they could do at this point.   The surgeon said he believes he got all the infection out of him and now they will watch him for the next few days and see how it goes.  I talked to him this morning and he seems to be feeling a lot better and is bored out of his mind in the hospital.  I'm unfortunately stuck at work today but can't wait to go see him later tdoay.  This has been such a mentally and physically stressful situation for us both.  I just can't wait to have him healed.

I can only imagine how difficult this has been for you.  It sounds like he is in good hands and the doctors are doing everything they can to get him back to health.

He must be on the road to recovery if he is bored!

Sending positive thoughts your way!

Yeah, I'd have to say being bored is a GOOD sign!   But it is a lengthy process, as I said before.  A friend of mine had similar issues and had to get her wound re-dressed twice a day to keep it clean, and healing from the inside out.

Take care, have faith, and I'll send up another prayer for his healing and YOUR stress level!!

Positive vibes and thoughts are with you and your husband as you go through the infection process.  They take a long time to heal, but hopefully he will be out of the hospital soon and able to care for the wound at home.
I would agree that if he is bored in the hospital he is definitely on the upswing!!

Take care,
Reenie
