I found a jacket today to replace my 3XL Leather jacket. I got it at Value Villege...for 30 bucks I got this leather jacket, plus three other jackets, plus a sport coat, plus a top for my daughter, plus a pair of name brand jeans....I've never had this much fun. It's so nice to not have to pay attention to the size, but just look and see if I like it first, then decide to try it on.
On another note, I found a very unique grocery store. It's called Sun Foods or something like that. Both the value villege and the Sun Foods are on the same lot on Brooklyn Boulevard, half way between Brookdale and HWY94/694. This food market is asian but it has a huge seafood section and virtually every type of meat that is legal. Fresh stuff put right out where you can bag your own. I finally found crawdads! They have produce you have NEVER heard of....10 varieties of egg plant, herbs, mushrooms, even baby octupus(yeah). You have to experience it....low prices for traditional cuts of meat. I'm not trying to advertise for them, but if you are looking for something different, can buy a small portion of something just to try. I bought a can of quail eggs on a dare. I ate one and just about....well, I've eaten worse. It's not your typical food store. In fact, you may be put off by the strong smells when you first go in. But it's worth checking out.
