2 Weeks Out & Down...

I am 2 weeks out today and down 20 pounds! Hooray!!!
To watch the scale go down is just an amazing feeling right now. Now I know how all of you feel/felt! WOW!

I can't say the first two weeks have been easy, but relatively speaking, it's been decent. I have had my share of nauseau and backed up my meals to full liquids when I've felt the need to. I've struggled the past two days to get in all my liquids and hence am dealing with dehyrdation but I'm working on that.

My incision is healing very nicely. I finally removed the steri strips yesterday because my skin was feeling irritated by the adhesive. This proved to be a good move as there were two areas that had a little drainage and needed to dry out. They look much better this morning and have scabbed over so that is good. Now if I could just find a good adhesive remover to take off all the sticky residue! Any suggestions?

We follow up at three weeks, so I'll see Dr. Buchwald next week and am looking forward to that appointment.

Other than that, life is cruising along.

Wishing everyone a blessed day! Thanks for letting me share.

I'm thrilled for you, how exciting, huh!!

I've heard using baby oil on the residue. I didn't have any so I carefully used Goo Be Gone, trying not to get it on the incisions themselves, just the sticky spots.

I'm just so happy for you!  After watching you wait and wait for your surgery, and overcome all the hurdles, I'm so happy you had your surgery and everything went well.  I pray you have continued success with weight loss and health!

WOOHOO!  Congrats!!!  Make sure you are taking pics along the way.  I can't wait to see your transformation throughout your journey.

As for that blasted adhesive tape...I think mine was stuck for weeks (I think even over a month) and nothing would get that darn stuff off except time.

(((Hugs)))
