Another great saying...

My department at work had the fortunate opportunity to learn more about a non-profit group called Perspectives; they help woman and their children start over after tough times such as prison or substance abuse.  One of their recent graduates, Vivian, spoke about their program and offered this quote:

       "We are all successful if we are trying!"

I found this to be such a profound statement!  As long as we are all "trying" to reach the goal(s) we have set out for ourselves, WE ARE SUCCESSFUL!!!  And some days, that means we're successful if we just get our body out of bed and into the shower; other days it may mean finishing a 5k!  We each have the power to define our success - no one else can tell us what success means!

So instead of the famed Nike saying, "Just Do it," I'm challenging you to "Just TRY it!!!"  If you do, YOU WILL BE A SUCCESS!!!

MAKE it a great day!!

How funny, when I read your post, I read the last two words as your signature, not as "Hugs to you sweetie, Marsha" but rather as "Hugs to you, Sweetie Marsha" - you know, kind of thinking of Sweet Martha's!!!  Okay....ummm...let's just say I'm probably thinking about foods I shouldn't be...hee hee!!!  I know, I know..totally stupid..but I thought it was funny!

Wow!!  There is a lot of power in those few words.

I think we all go through days when getting out of bed makes it a successful day!  I agree that trying something makes one successful, regardless of the outcome!
