it I haven'****ched the biggest losser in a long time. I have many mixed emotions about the show. I was actually at the gym yesterday and it was on the t.v. and a lady that was walkin on the treadmill (she was not tiny but she was not huge) looked back at her butt and said so help me God I would shoot myself if I ever got that big. It really kinda bugged me that she would make a comment like that outloud in a gym where there are bigger people. I think that its amazing that they will be on national t.v. being that big I know I am that big and I wouldn't ever be able to do it. My mom keeps makin comments about it sayin that if people on the show can do it then there should be no reason that I need the surgry cuz I can do it like they can. I try to tell her that they have constiant supervision and they have their food picked out for them and the excursize an un godly amout of hours a day. They have no life other then the show and she just don't get it.
And yea the personal trainer is tough but I know that its what you need sometimes. I had a personal trainer and she was not nice to me but let me tell you I had never worked out so hard in my life and I am so glad that she did. She pushed me beyond my limits and I didn't die she helped me. I was in step class on Monday and I realized that I need someone to push me I was forced well not litterally but I Wanted to keep up with the class so I kept goin even when I didn't think that I could go on. I wouldn't have worked that hard had it just been me. So the personal trainer might be rough but I think that she does care about them and I think that she knows that they can do it but they just need a push!

This is my 3 season to watch the Biggest Loser and I can relate to the guy that had the RNY.  Maybe I too failed to use the tool correctly but I never really lost any weight after my surgery and have gained more.  So I find the show inspriational knowing that it can be done. I just need to figure out how I can make it work for me.  Finding foods that are affordable on a tight budget in this economy is challenging, and since I stopped losing anything the minute I went back to a regular diet makes it frustrating.
I wish someone would tell me what I did wrong and what I can do to fix it.

Hey Hon!!  I am soo sorry that you have had to go thru this with no results.  That IN MY OPINION tells me a few things:  1) do you have any medical condtions that would prevent RNY not to work?  2) On your follow up visits for after care what did they tell you or say about why you are not losing?  3) How long was your channel?  Proximal or Distal?
I know how tough it is to buy healthy foods on a tight budget!!  I have to use cheaper healthier proteins such as Yogurt and cottage cheese.
I really hope that you would go back and find out what is wrong so that you may get it fixed and get to where you want to be!!!
HUGS

The only medical that I know of would be the under active thyroid. Yes i go to my follow up visits and I go again on Friday which will probably be fore the last time they got enough of my money.   From them I get that it is all my fault,  I guess i am not making the right food choses but they just want to refer me to the weight mangement team which my insurance does not cover,   I have no ideal how long or if it is proximal or distal   I just wish I would have never had anything done including taking out my gall bladder,  The meds would have been cheaper and I wouldn't have this debt hanging over my head.l
I am venting  but I just have to do this as if I never had anything done.

My hubby taped it because I was playing Bingo with the grandson, and we watched it last night.  We have never missed a season.  AND HOLY TOLEDO -- this is the largest crew they've had to work with.   The RNY guy, did you notice that when they showed his scan his little stomach was still there.  The size of an egg!!!!  I found that amazing -- so the tool is still there and he can make it work.  Plus having the trainer and eating properly at the camp, he is gonna kick some booty!!!!

Can't wait for next week!!!!

I like watching the show as it always pushes me to do more excercise (usually biking while watching it).

I must have missed the part about the father having WLS before...scary to see someone go through all the pain/struggle of the surgery just to gain it back.

I love the end of the shows seeing how they look after their journey.
