Hello MN OH Friends,
I too have been MIA for a while. One of my resolutions for 2009 is to get back on OH and be supportive to one and all as much as I can.
2008 started out with the birth of my nephew, Eli on 1/1/08. I was 4 days into my liquid diet because my RNY surgery was coming up. Eli and I celebrate our birthdays on the same day...well mine is my new healthier me birthday. I'm rambling so I'll get to the point.
Today is my one year surgiversary! Where has the year and almost 106 pounds gone? Both went pretty quickly. This has been an amazing year. I've had so many wow's I can't even begin to start listing them here. Currently I weigh 156 pounds, wear size 8 jeans (I have never seen that size), a size medium in tops/sweaters/sweatshirts and my boobs shrunk to a 38DD (I started at a 44G). Some of that is more than you wanted to know, but I had to share. I can feel bones I haven't felt in years if ever. I have a tailbone, collarbone, hip bones, and ribs. This whole journey is an amazing wild ride.
Most touching to me is the friendship, support, and love I have gotten from so many of you. I wouldn't have been as successful if it weren't for you! For those of you new to OH, SUPPORT is THE number one key to success to this surgery, at least in my opinion.
I'm not so good with the words but I am so happy with my tool and plan on respecting my tool as well. I'm about 26 pounds from my personal goal which is something I hope to achieve this year. I won't lie, I haven't been exercising but I know that has to start in order to get to my goal and to feel even better. Again, another goal for 2009, start exercising!

I miss you, it's been FOREVER since I've had the privilege of seeing you - but HOOOO BOY!! Sounds like you've made quite the transformation!
I'm with you on the whole "ramp up the exercise" deal - it's been something I'M focusing on for this year as well! HERE'S TO US (And LisaJoy!) for doing what it takes!!
