Prayers please
This morning Sadie got our cat's legs trapped in a dresser drawer. He freaked out & attacked her....I went to help and he attacked me as well. We spent the day in the ER. I have tendon damage to my right hand & at least a week off work.....am typing one handed now. It is a lot of pain. My poor baby got it to her face.....barely missing her eye. She has scratches everywhere....two of them needed to be glued. she has a black swollen eye. it broke my heart to watch her cry as they scrubbed the wounds out. The bggest thing is concern of infection for both of us.....and permanent damage to my hand. We both have antibiotics,sadie has an eye drop antibiotic for precaution,and pain killers for both of us. It was so scary. I will take some pics later to post. Please pray for no infection and quick healing.
We both had recently had our shot so we were ok. The cat is fine....a little skiddish at first but mostly his old self now. We've had so many people tell us to get rid of him. He was defending himself.....did not attack unprovoked.......I am very leary of him right now though. I am in so much pain I can't sleep even with the lortab.
Well I know how painful it can be. I was rescuing a cat in a crawl space under a house in November and he was so terrified that he chomped down on my wrist and held on for dear life. I was lucky and didn't get any tendon damage, but I was worried. It felt lots better after 3 or so days. Hopefully yours will too.
I don't understand why people would tell you to get rid of the cat? Wasn't his fault - though I would be leary of him for a while too!!
