OT - my sister had a tubal pregnancy

She hadn't told anyone she was pregnant yet.  Felt crappy monday and really really crappy Tuesday.  Went in over night last night finally and they had to remove the whole tube.  She's handling it pretty well.

She & her hubby have one beautiful daughter almost 3yrs old.  They've been trying for almost 5 months for another.  Now she's really concerned her chances of having one more baby just won't happen.  She's turning 34 this year and is now down to one tube....it doesn't help to be told "if its meant to be" blah blah blah.

I'm going to see her this saturday...they live in Elk River.

Just had to share with my friends here....I'm so sad for her.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's situation.  Glad to hear she went in when she did.  I'm sure she will find some comfort in you visiting and support from family.

Take care,
Stephanie

I'm sorry.  That's really hard, especially after they've been trying for some time. Losing a baby, no matter how early on is an awful event!   Good thing you're a sensitive sister *****cognizes saying things like "if it's meant to be," are not helpful.  Nor is:  "everything happens for a reason."  With time, I hope she can find peace with her loss.

Tina-
how sad for her-it is really hard to lose a baby anytime, and losing the whole tube is rough.  One of my daughters went through this a few years ago-and had further surgery because of ovarian cysts on the remaining ovary.  She had been told that she probably would never have children when she was 24-and now she has a beautiful baby boy who is the light of all our lives.  Miracles can happen-her fiancee (baby's daddy) had also been told he would not likely father a child because of surgery complications....so betweeen the two of them, here is my grandson!!  Give her some love and let her know that there is always hope.
hugs-
lynn

Hi Lynn,

I always thought your son was the handsome one in your family; but I see where this little guy could take over that tittle real easy.  Isn't it fun being a Grandma???  I decided when I became a Grandma 25 years ago that had I known it was so much fun, I certainly would have had the grandchildren first.

Enjoy that little one because before you know it, he will be out of college and grandparents get replaced by young adults of the opposite gender.  I have 7 grandchildren between the ages of 16 and 25 and none of them want to sit on Granny's lap anymore.  Can you believe that?
At any rate, "Cngratulations" on becoming a Grandma and give that little guy a hug from this Granny.

Love ya, Lynn......
