Tingling hands and feet and lower back pain
I checked websites and of course it could be a huge number of things including vitamin deficiencies but I'm really good at taking my vitamins now and it usually takes longer to get a deficiency bad enough to cause problems like that. I think?
Also, I've had a lot of lower back pain whereas before surgery I really only had it if I walked for a while.
Here's my guess, could my spine be thrown out of whack from losing roughly 60 lbs in a short amount of time, thus causing some nerves to be pinched? Most of my weight has been off my top half. Considering trying the chiropractor.
I think I will probably go to my PCP as well just to make sure but I don't want to engage the whole medical process if I don't have to.
But wondering, is it too early to have another full blood panel done to check my nutrient levels? I'm 6 weeks out.
Did anyone else have anything weird like this start up after surgery? (I'm not substituting this post for seeing my doctor, just wondering.)
Thanks!
Anna

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
I didn't get any new tinglies... I have them anyways from poor circulation.
I did have some major pain though and it was explained to me that my body is trying to readjust to a new center of gravity. It startedin my lower back. I also had major hip pain as my legs learned to come back together with the loss of major thigh weight. My shoulders hurt too as my arms came back to my sides lol They don't tell you about this stuff and i"m not sure everyone gets it.
Go to the doc to be safe but also think about what your body is going through... the changes it's making in a miraculous amount of time :)
Happy journey!
My doctor thinks it's my Requip, the medication I take for restless leg syndrome. Apparently 3% of patients develop that side effect. So I'm going off it and we'll see what things are like by the end of the week. Let's hope this is what the problem is.
I did have a bunch of labs done so I will have those results later today. Will keep you posted.
As for the RLS, I have that as well, although not "officially" diagnosed or medicated. I have found that when it's out of hand, one Advil Liqui-gel will calm the jitters quite nicely. And I was told, by one of the nurses in my program, that taking Advil in the liqui-gel form is acceptable once in a while, when nothing else will take care of it. You might run that by your doctor?
