Seriously - When will it get better?
Hello! I am not a real regular poster here but I wanted to respond to your post. I am three years out (my surgery was 1-10-06, a laproscopic RNY) and the reason you have no energy is because your body has gone throug a HUGE transformation and it is still getting used to that change. I remember those days VERY well myself! I live in a split level house and seriously, just to bring up a basket of laundry a month later overwelmed me! I had to sit down right away. Being I had my surgery in teh dead of winter I was kind of glad the weather was always so cold - I had a great excuse not to go out and walk. I was like, "Walk? Is there a chair waiting for me?" But by March or April I was feeling much better. But I don't want to imply I felt horrid all the time. Some days were better, and soon I felt good all the time. Getting on the scale always helps me feel better!!! Not shopping in the PLus section ALWAYS helps!! Getting out my "before" photo is a good boost as well.
Have you tried other diet drinks, like Slim Fast ready made shakes or the Target brand? Just remember, you are only a month out. Your insides are still healing.
I can understand your feelings towards food and liquid drinks and all that - I have been there! It is a HUGE change you are going through but it is all worth it! I promise!

Thank you all for the support. It means alot.
Maybe I'm under the false impression that people about as far out as I am are feeling pretty good already. I know, everyone is different, but I figured with almost 40lbs lost since October, I'd have some relief in my knees and back and have more energy. I think that, along with thinking the recovery would be quicker, and not expecting my tastes to change so much. It just feels overwhelming at times.
