Enjoyed Today's Winter Wonderland
I decided that before we drop into the deep freeze again I had better get out and take a walk at lunch time today. I walk from my office across the Stone Arch Bridge at the edge of downtown Minneapolis and back to my office again. Now I am more of a country mouse than a city mouse at heart, but I really enjoyed my walk today. The snow wasn't blowing too hard and I could still walk on the sidewalks without boots. I don't especially like the industrial straight line edge of the last drop on St. Anthony Falls, but its sound is a reminder of the inexorable flow of the Mighty Mississippi. Through the gauze of snow, though, that harsh edge was softened and the flow of water with the snowy cityscape behind it bordered on the sublime.....or maybe I am still giddy from the MG coffee experience on Saturday. Anyway, if you can, go out and enjoy a bit of the outdoors today. It sure can be refreshing.

And I wish everyone could share the view I have out my window... had a few deer earlier this morning, get cardinals and all kinds of chirpies on my feeder. purdy...

Yep - definitely jet lag. It's 6:30pm here. I fell asleep at about 5pm last night and slept until 9am this morning...needed it. I feel better today.
Today was an easy day.. just got some things done (bought glasses, went to favorite restaurant) and saw my dad's cousin. I have until the 17th in Latvia... then off to Austria! :)
