So nice to see a post from you! Well, it's probably more pleasant to be job hunting when it is 70's and sunny rather than where it's 26 below zero like it was here this morning. Please keep us posted on any developments....including the nice WOW of being startled to see the thin you in the store's mirrors.

Hey, yesterday the temperature hit 82*F and I drove around in the Honda CRV with all windows and the sunroof open! I still can't get over that--better 'winter' weather than what we had in SUMMER in TBay. ((But it's a DRY heat....)) I am NOT looking forward to the dry 100s... I will say that even though it's nice and warm, the backyard 'cement pond' is still too cold to swim in. ((NANANANA!!))
Yup--am filling out lots of job apps and sending out resumes. There's gotta be SOMEONE who appreciates the edumakatin' I have.
I called the Alzheimer Association in regards to a flyer re: support group at the local hospital, and since I have sooo much free time on my hands at the moment, I figgered I might as well volunteer my expertise. I met with the coordinator and we hit it off famously. She told me about a job being posted by the Alz Ass'n--'program manager'--(same thing I was turned down for in TBay.) She strongly recommended I apply for it. She's so tickled that someone 'so young' ((me?? she talkin' about me???)) is interested in volunteering at the association! So even if I don't get the job, my services will be appreciated as a volunteer.
I miss not being able to connect with the MN board as much as I did when I was in TBay, but this is not my computer and have to practice restraint in using it. :-(
Ya'll are in my thoughts!! I am so hoping to be able to make the planned trip back 'home' for the second half of April to tie up loose ends. I'd be landing in Mpls and renting a vehicle. I probably won't have the finances or be able to take a whole month off from whatever job I'm blessed with, so I will have to make a 'condensed' trip. It's just gotta be done. I will keep ya'll posted.
