Its normal for weight loss to slow down at times. Your body needs to adjust. Not sure where you are at with your journey but, just stick to the plan and you can not go wrong. You just need to be patience we did not gain the weight overnight and it will not just fall off either.

Best wishes to you!!!

Take that 2 pounds and embrace it!

I know it can be frustrating at times, you feel the weight should just be falling off.  But I take my average 2 lb weekly weight loss with  1% disappointment and 99% thrill.  It's pretty consistant, so that makes me feel confident that eventually I WILL get to my goal. I'm amazed that this week will be my 5 month surgiversary already...time  has flown by ! So will the next five months--leaving me much much closer to that final goal.

Good luck to you!

2 pounds a week is great!

I'm a part of the "slow weight loss club".  It's taken me 20 months to lose 96 pounds.  I'm 5 pounds from my goal.  Yeah it wasn't record speed but it adds up and as long as the scale is going down, I'm happy.  If you are following your surgeon's plan and exercising, you should have no worries...just enjoy the ride! :)

Thanks everyone!!! I had my WLS 12/18/2008 and I have only lost about 15 pounds I guess i keep looking at other peoples profiles and seeing how much they have lost in a short time.

Everyone is different.  I mean I don't have to have WLS. I heard I could smoke a ton of crack and lose just as much weight, if not more...

There will be alot of missing DVD players, but I'll be smaller!!

I'm sure you've heard it all before, but just for a reminder:

**Do not compare yourself to others! This is a unique journey for each person.

**You will lose either inches or pounds.

And quite honestly, you had a loss so please don't be concerned! Where you're going to get frustrated is when you don't lose anything for over a month!

Just relax and try not looking at the number this early out. Your RNY will work - just give it time to.
