Anybody know of good ice fishing lakes in or around the metro, where a person can basically drive their car out to fishing spots? Walleye, Northern, Crappie, Sunny's... whatever.
Thanks!

My folks have a lake place on Coon Lake in East Bethel (out past Blaine and Ham Lake off Hihghway 65). In years past I have caught crappies and northerns while icefishing....though they haven't been lunkers.
Great, thanks! I forget about that lake. once upon a time, I rented a dock for a few hours at a time to cast for pike. always caught bullheads. they suck.

thanks! we're finallly going to have decent weather, and the ice is nice and solid. It's going to be great to get out there (though I will admit that I absolutely can not wait for the return of summer fishing).
