Did my morning routine this morning.  I can't believe that I can actually drag my butt out of bed to exercise.  It feels so good to get it done for the day first thing.  I can think of a million excuses by the time I get home from work!

Off to the gym I went this morning.  I totally agree with Michael, it is weird to get up early and sweat- but if I waited until after work it would never happen!   I notice too thast it helps to keep my mind a little more focused during the day- kind of sweats out the cob webs from sleep!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Up to 40 minutes at a decent pace on the bike.  Not much, but I am working on getting that up to an hour by the end of the month.

Greetings Minnesota OH'ers from Seattle.  I hope you guys are staying warm!  I have ordered up a ***BUNCH of warmth & sunshine for a few friends in MN, so you should all be able to reap the dividends when it arrives!

As far as exercise, I have had some successes this week.  I was able to work out at my company work out room 4 out of 5 days.  I did 35 minutes of cardio at my target heart rate each time, swtiching between the treadmill and an elipitical rider.

Also, at my Seattle support group meeting on Monday night, I got hooked up with a good source for protein, which has helped me from doing this after my workout:

The name of the whey protein powder I am using is Dymatize Elite Whey Protein.  I mix a scoop and a half with water ****d) and I get 32 g of protein and only 2 g of carbs (no sugars).  Whoop whoop!!! I bought a 5 lb tub of vanilla for $43.00.  Is that a good priice?  I don't have any previous experience buying this sort of product to fall back on.  From what I can tell on the web, it's not too bad of a price.

SInce I am "Sleepless in Seattle" this weekend, I am going to head south tomorrow for about 70 miles and do a little hiking and digital photography at Mt. Ranier.  I hope the visibility is good!  I'm probably going with my boss, who himself is considering doing a lap band.  I'll try to post some landscape pics when we get back tomorrow.

Cheers!  -Alan

I did 65 minutes on the treadmill at 3.8 mph and an incline of 7.
I did floor exercises (sit ups/crunches, leg lifts, push ups and ab exercises) for 15 minutes.

Burned over 600 calories and feel GREAT!

(((Hugs)))
