Am I setting myself up for failure?

What is one of the worst places to work if you are going to have by-pass?? I work at a made from scratch bakery. I am also going to start running a food stand at an indoor auction. I have worked at the bakery for 10 months--I have not gained any weight--but do partake in the wonderful baked goods once in a while. My DR. says it is because my sugars are out of control that I have not gained weight.

Have the RNY and pray you dump on sugars & fats.

Or, have the DS and be okay with having these items in moderation, with no ill effect.

Your choice - failure is all how you look at it. If you're already feeling like you're going to fail, then sorry to tell you, but you will. Change your mindset now!

I bake at home at least once a week and just plain don't eat it.  It's a lifestyle change where you have control on what you put in your mouth.....Your success or failure is totally up to you.  There is always going to be stuff you shouldn't eat and not just where you work.

I think you need to really 'sit yourself down' and ask yourself that question... and then answer it. I don't thing ANY of us can answer it for you. I can say that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything. There's hope you feel the same way.

After my surgery (though I had the band, so a little different), I didn't want pasta anymore - the #1 food I indulged in before. Haven't really had it since.

It's all a mindset. You can do this! Believe in yourself!

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.
