Am I setting myself up for failure?
What is one of the worst places to work if you are going to have by-pass?? I work at a made from scratch bakery. I am also going to start running a food stand at an indoor auction. I have worked at the bakery for 10 months--I have not gained any weight--but do partake in the wonderful baked goods once in a while. My DR. says it is because my sugars are out of control that I have not gained weight.
Have the RNY and pray you dump on sugars & fats.
Or, have the DS and be okay with having these items in moderation, with no ill effect.
Your choice - failure is all how you look at it. If you're already feeling like you're going to fail, then sorry to tell you, but you will. Change your mindset now!

I think you need to really 'sit yourself down' and ask yourself that question... and then answer it. I don't thing ANY of us can answer it for you. I can say that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything. There's hope you feel the same way.
