OT...Nic's speech
It's very moving that a kid his age can articulate what he's been through so well. And sad that he has the experience to back it up. He will have all the tools and compassion a person could need to be an awesome ped oncologist. Maybe that's why he's been put on this journey?
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Thank you so much Darla!!
I am so overwhelmed by the outpouring of replies we have received. I am sooooo proud!!!
Thanks for the wonderful reply...you are so special!!
Nic has decided he wants to be a nurse in oncology instead as he can deal more with the patients and help them get through all the icky things they need to have done to them along the way. He wants to spend more time with each one. He just keeps amazing me!!
Love and hugs....connie d

Thank you for posting this. After my best friend died of cancer it just breaks my heart when kids have to go through that hell. It gets me so angry. I totally understand how he feels and he is very well-spoken! Thanks for sharing!

I so wish he and other children never had to know cancer....how incredibly sad. I pray that he can one day be cancer free and have all of the dreams he mentioned realized. God bless Nic!
