couple of questions  which surgery did you have this makes a difference and what are you eatting plus do you exerise????  and are your clothes looser.??? some time even though the scale doesn't move the weight is going and clothes sizes change.   Man so many question and no real answers ... post some more and if not me others will answer...Hang in there 14 pounds is 14 pounds and it is great start.

Don't panic...this is normal for some people. You are probably still losing inches.
Be sure you are getting plenty of water and protein in. Change up your menu a little if you can. Sometimes that helps to give you a jump start.
You are still new at this....the weight will fall of ....just have patience!!

First off, I REALLY encourage you to GET RID OF YOUR SCALE.  A person can easily become obsessed with that SOB - pack it up, put it somewhere that's a pain in the pooper to get to, and LEAVE IT ALONE.

Second, follow your eating plan very closely.  Yes, I'm one of those who has tried things I probably shouldn't have, I eat some things that I probably shouldn't, I'm no saint.  But you are only a month out - I WAS quite religious about following my program formany months after surgery!  If you are watching portions, getting your protein and water in, you WILL lose.  It will NOT fall off you as you watch it, you have to look away for a while.  The LONGER you stay off your scale, the BIGGER the drops will be, the HAPPIER YOU will be!

Just be honest with yourself about what you're eating, and portion size.  I'm NOT suggesting you aren't.  But I know that being honest with myself about what I ate was a major come-to-Jesus thing in my life pre-op, and I sometimes struggle with that still.

It will work.  But not overnight.  It takes time - have patience.

Well I eat good, but I dont eat enough and its so hard to get all my water in and protein but I am trying so hard.  I know i need to get rid of the dumb scale.. I hate that thing.  It will take time for the weight to come off... I guess I want it to come off fast, but I guess thats a good thing as well.

How about starting to post your daily food intake on the thread Diamondgirl puts up?   I really feel like I struggle to get the protein up to 60 grams, let alone more and see that some people about as far out as I am are taking in more protein than that and losing faster. I know it's not a race, but I 'm sure you feel like I do, anything to increase the loss- right?

Yea I should start doing that. I dont know if I am getting that much protein, but I am really going to start pay close attention to it. Today I had half of a banana, for lunch I had a piece of fish about 2oz and a half cup of green beans. Now I dont know if thats a good source of protein, but i am trying.

Here's the question I ask myself every time I get a little stalled:

How much did you lose in a month BEFORE you had surgery?

It helps me remember where I came from and remember that I am looking for a new QUALITY of life, not a QUANITITY of pounds lost.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

I totally understand the struggle and it was said b4....KILL THE SCALE!!!! or at least ground it for a few months...lol I am not sure where you live but you should definately check out a coffee. These people who are further out have helped so much and they are all so open to share. I am realizing that the more protein I get in the better I feel and the more weight comes off.
