I was thinking about buying some frozen shrimp this weekend and just have a little no sugar ****tail sauce with it. (if they make such a thing)  I need some new, easy HIGH protein foods, so I hope shrimp isn't one of those "meats" that tends to get stuck.  I'm shocked a Scampi could have such low fat grams, that sounds really good !

My FAVORITE ****tail sauce is so simple I can hardly stand it!   A few T of ketchup (probably a little sugar in that, but not much...?) and a "dollop" of horseradish sauce!   More for hotter, less or cream-style for milder.  YUMM-O!!!

We can't avoid sugar totally.  I to have always made my own ****tail sauce, the same as you. If your using fresh/frozen fish (which ever type your choose) the only thing with sugar would be the dab of ketchup you use for the sauce. What a win win! LOL

Thanks for the tip, Kelly! I have seen them at Cub and was tempted to buy them but I'm pretty picky on my scampi flavor, so I never have. Will have to try them now.
mmmm...

I was so disappointed, my Cub carries Sea Pak  Scampi but I looked at the package tonight and it was 30 grams of fat per serving.  Darn, I was so excited to see it and try it- too bad it wasn't the right one.  I did buy plain shrimp (to try cold) and talapia, which I've never made before. Will have to go receipe searching for that.
