major headache

I have been taking tylenol and it does not help........Any suggestions on what I can take?????????????  What are we allowed to take????????? I have had it for a week off and on but the lkast 3 days has been constant.....I know it's stress from everything........any suggestions would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry that you have a major headache. They are the worst. I have been told by several wls doctors that taking ibuprofen on occassion is okay. They say that for, like cramps, advil is okay. The main concern is that we don't take a bunch a day and every day and for a long time. This is what I've been told and is my opinion.

Marsha...I am sorry you are in so much pain. I wish I had an answer for you. I take tylenol....however....I have Vocodin for when pain gets too bad. Can't buy that over the counter obviously!! Hope you fell better soon!!

Hi there I can understand why you would have a headache. Donna from the clinic did tell me once that if a headache just would not go away that you could take an advil. Just make it a rare thing. I have been getting some migraine lately and do have a prescription for those but I ran out. In the mean time I have been taking a Walgreen version of migraine pills and its working wonders.

And taking ibuprofen in the liqui-gel form is even less harsh for your pouch, as it dissolves more quickly, therefore spends less time potentially irritating the lining of your pouch.  They work GREAT for my knee pain when it keeps me up!
