I used to mix yogurt with cottage cheese and grape nuts
I like a protein milkshake
tuna cups with cheese and celery
Left overs from the night before
blt with bacon and stuff wrapped in the lettuce leaf
omelet
I used to make cereal with flax, protein powder and wheat bran... super high fiber and good on protein.  It made a hot cereal when mixed with ho****er to like oatmeal consistency.  I ate that almost every morning on aitkins.  added a touch of whipped cream and cinnamon.. good stuff!

Elena:

I have been making one egg omelets with a bit of onion and cheddar cheese inside or with a little Italian seasoning mixed in and a tablespoon of spaghetti sauce (Prego) and mozzarella cheese inside.

I also like making oatmeal with gound flax and steel cut oats with some Splenda sprinkled on top (1 cup oatmeal plus 1/4 cup ground flax and 1/4 cup steel cut oats makes enough for several breakfast meals).  I have added protein powder to it as well, but I didn't particularly like the flavor of it, so I only do that when I have been lacking protein.

My wife insists on buying FF cottage cheese, which has an off flavor in my opinion, so I try to improve its taste by adding a little cinnamon, a little nutmeg and a little Splenda when I do have it.

I also have had Kashi Go Lean cereal (some on the RNY board call it Kashi Go Poop cereal because it has quite a bit of fiber in it (plus 13 grams of protein I think)) with milk or light vanilla yogurt.

Good luck,

RP

Wow - I just want to thank YOU, Elena, for posting an excellent question!  I'm so boring - yogurt with sunflower seeds or Kashi M-F, 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and ham or bacom bits with salsa on the weekend!

(Although I did have some of that rotisserie chicken soup last Sunday morning at the cabin... odd, but tasty!!)

I do a protein shake with espresso every morning - just like a latte but with more protein.

More recently i tried the kashi brand oatmeal and I like that too - not as low carb - but high fiber and high protein and low sugar

This is my new Favorite:

1/4 frozen blueberries
1/4 cup kashi go lean
low fat buttermilk

Now, until  few weeks ago I had never even had buttermilk other than pancakes, but when you take the frozen blueberrie and then add the buttermilk and kashi it taste like a melted frozen yogurt sunday, totally my current fav! and I also add a few packets of splenda

I've been experimenting with ricotta cheese.  I found a quick 'cheesecake' recipe which is a carton of part-skim ricotta, 2 eggs, 1/2 c of splenda for baking. (I cut it down to 1/3 cause it's too sweet for me).  Mix it up, split it into 4 ramekins, sprinkile with cinnamon and bake for an hour at 350 degrees.

Variations include adding vanilla, lemon extract and lemon zest to make lemon cheesecake,
or adding 1 cup of canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and raisins,
or adding cocoa powder, vanilla and almond extract

You can probably come up with more.

Hello Elena,

1) Cottage Cheese Pancakes w/ SF syrup or SF Jelly
2) 1 Egg over Medium, 2pcs Wonder WW Lite bread toasted w/ SF Jelly
3) 3/4 C Special K Protein Plus, 1/2 Skim Milk
4) 1 pkg weight control oatmeal (only occasionally), 1/4C skim Milk
5) Protein Bar (Pure Protein or Met-Rx)
6) Egg souffle's (just recently tried these from a receipe off of Eggface's website)

I regularly switch off with the first three. I occasionally have the oatmeal but the carbs are high. When I am in a hurry or just haven't prepared anything I opt for the protein bar.
