I went to a mtg to see what WLS was about, talked to a nurse, scheduled a date and went. I saw a diatition once about a month out. thats it. Now so many people at work have to do soooo much more. I have never gone for any other follow ups or anything. I feel healthy (besides putting on a few pounds this year) but is there anyone who has experience anything negative this far out?

I don't know what surgery you had or how far out you are, but some people have developed hypoglycemia, various vitamin and mineral deficiencies, protein deficiency, malnutrition, internal hernias, small bowel obstructions.

You should see your surgeon at least annually or your PCP to have labs drawn.

Don't forget to take your vitamins - at least a multi, calcium, B12, and maybe iron, you labs will tell you what else you will need..  Deficiencies don't always show up right away.

Good luck

I had mine done 6-27-03. I guess I know nothing of what a revision would be. Its funny that you say that about the labs because I work in a lab and all the test they order even when its just someone thinking about doing the surgery. Five and a half years....I think I might make an apt this year. thanks.
