Well... I am now 4 days out on quitting smoking...and I am having some issues.... and I am hoping to get some insight here.....

Since day one.... I have had some problems with my pouch... I am just shy of 2 years post op. My pouch gets upset really easy since I quit....I have been sick twice.. which hasn't happened in a long time. One of the things I do is chew on stir sticks... don't laugh... it works... anyway... Lori was thinking maybe that makes me produce acid in my pouch... with no food coming in and that might be it... any ideas?

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

From what I've understood tho is that they don't want us to smoke because it produces more acid and then ulcers.  I'm not sure...

I wonder if it could be from the nicotine withdrawal, if you're quitting cold turkey or with Chantix.  I remember when I quit cold turkey, my body felt pretty strange...not just cravings, but headaches and weird head.  I wouldn't doubt it could wreak havoc on your stomach as well.

Congrats on getting that monkey off your back.  I'm 19 years cig free and am SO glad I've hung in there.  You hang in there too!

Good Luck!
