The question caught me in a weak moment, when I really was feeling like a displaced person.  My life here in Tucson really is better than what I had at the moment in Thunder Bay--like NO RENT to pay ****il March or I get a job) and GREAT WEATHER!  Even their 'cold weather' is like spring in TBay!  And my housekeeping and cooking/baking are much appreciated--didn't get that at home from my young adult son--although he has told me he misses me AND my homemaking!

And I REALLY do miss my midwest friends!!

Yep - that did sound like I couldn't get to the toilet or do the paper work didn't it?  That I can still handle!  It's getting my gut to move is the problem!

I am having to think really hard about this because I hated my pre-op lifestyle.

I guess I kind of miss being 'mindless'... not caring about what I put into my mouth. But that was also accompanied with 'hopelessness' so it was a horrible mix.

I don't think I miss much else...

I like getting cold because I can wear cute sweaters and not look like a Yeti!

I miss the self assurance that the men I was dating or had relationships LOVED big women.  Now, I'm so stressed about my body, all the loose skin, that taking my clothes off in front of a man terrifies me.  I no longer feel sexy in my body, unless I'm fully clothed. 

Darla...I don't know of anything I miss to tell the truth. I will have to ponder this awhile longer!!

This was a hard one.... and I don't think there is anything I miss. I don't mind being cold because before I was always so embarassed that I broke out in a sweat doing nothing.   The only things I can think of are I miss not taking so many pills.  With all my vitamins I"m up to 17 pills a day, but small price to pay (and boy do I feel a lot better now that I'm taking all 17 on regular basis).  The other thing is I have more anxiety now and that is only because before when I felt anxious I ate however I'm learning new ways to mangage that so its not so bad either. 

This is a good question.......hmmmmm....

I really don't miss much.......I guess being WARM..........

I miss ME, Kelly......Now it's skinny Kelly, etc.......I'm still ME.....

What I miss in the short time I have been on the bench is I don't get the calls from my friends to go out anymore. I have tried to make it clear that i can do anything but I think i will be boring since I don't drink right now and I eat very little. Before that was the center of everthing I did with them. Maybe with time it will improve if not I have my new WLS friends thank God.
