OT...quick update on grandchildren
Hello everyone...just a brief update....
I just got back home from South St. Paul not too long ago. I went down yesterday, early in the morning. Kyleigh was suicidal. It scared the crap out of us !! Kyleigh(granddaughter) is doing better and went to school today. She spent some time with her therapist yesterday.She sure is going through a whole lot of emotions right now. Up and down and up and down again...wooohooo...it is hard to keep up sometimes!! We are praying that they can hit on the right meds to stabilize those moods. It is so hard to see her like that. We feel so helpless. We just keep trying our best to help her.
Nic(grandson) is definitely not having the 3F8 treatments in NY. We heard from the doctor in NY again last night.Jamie (daughter)will be posting about why and what else can and will be done on Nic's Caring Bridge site. Feel free to check it out. She is better at explaining it all then I am.

No need for any replies....I know you are all keeping Nic and Kyleigh and all my family in your thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to let you know where things are for now.

I will let you in on a little secret.....I am in awe of people like you who offer so much support and encouragement to other people here on OH in the face of truly frightful challenges in other aspects of their lives. When I saw your post, I realized that I had never told you that I am a big fan of yours. Perhaps one day we will actually get to meet in person at an MG coffee gathering. I would very much like that.

You sure could use the warm hugs and good thoughts and prayers for both of those special grandchildren, let alone your entire family.
The mental health issues are so difficult because with her young age it can be influenced hormonally ( mine was). Nic is such a wonderful young man, his MLK story was just fabulous. He has an insight that many people never get even by the time a person becomes a grandparent. Your family has had more than it's share of pain and suffering.

I had to reply........I just saw my e-mail from Jamie from Caring Bridge.......I'm so sorry it didn't work out for Nic to have the 3F8.......But like she said, maybe at the end of the year.........My thoughts & prayers are with Nic & the family, as always.....
As far as Kyleigh, my heart goes out to her and your family........Depression at such an early age is so difficult, I hope that they can find a medication or something that will help her asap........I can only imagine what you all were going through.......Again, I will pray for her & the family.......And you too my friend......
Are you eating? Please take care of yourself....K? I know it's hard with everything going on, but we need you to be healthy too........:)

Kelly...you are so sweet and such a special friend. Thank you so much for all the kindness you always show me and my family. The prayers and good thoughts are really appreciated.
