Stuck in the Hospital Again

I'm stuck in the hospital again.  I've had a temp for several days, chills, dizzy spells, and actually fainted at PT yesterday morning.  My hematologist sent me to ER and my primary (yeah, he just HAD to be on call last night!) told them to keep me.  My hemoglobin took a dive, so I got a transfusion last night.  We'll see what the numbers are today.  I haven't seen the doc yet today, so I don't know how long I'll be here.  I was supposed to go to my hematologist's today for a bone marrow biopsy (ouch!), so I'm thinking they'll probably do that here.  Hopefully I won't be here too long!  I figured they'd keep me (I'm just getting used to it now!), so I packed a suitcase and my 'puter is the first thing in it.  They stuck me in a room with an old snoring lady, but there is justice...the one TV in the room is at the end of MY bed!

WOW - that all sounds pretty serious. Hope you get out soon or at least can turn the TV up load enough to drown out the sound of the snoring!

Thanks!  It's weird...my hemoglobin actually dropped a little even after I got the blood.  I'm assuming I'll get more today, but my hematologist hasn't been in yet.

Bummer.....Keep us posted on what's going on.....Goog luck with the biopsy.....

Thanks, Kelly!  I haven't seen my hematologist yet, so not sure what his plans are for the biopsy.  He just wants to see if anything's changed from two years ago.  It's not fun, but at least it's quick!  ;)

Nancy....sorry to hear you are back in the hospital.

Please let us know how the biopsy turns out.

Thanks, Elena.  The thing that sucks is I'm temping, so I don't get paid when I don't work.  But hopefully I'll be out by the weekend.

Hopefully you have an Ipod or some other musical device, headphones for your computer so that you can drwn out her snoring.  Keep us posted on how long they plan on keeping you.
