after eating a meal can you take 1 sip of water?

Obviously your not suppose to drink afterwards but can you take 1 sip just to clean out the mouth????

There are no water police, no flying monkeys that will "get you" for doing so.

You could rinse your mouth  and spit it out if you really needed to.

The thing is, you want to understand WHY you don't want to drink for 30 minutes before or after, and I'm guessing you do.  I'm certainly not the most "religious" about following that rule, to me it's one of the hardest!  But it IS important.

Well I have been practicing before the WLS, and so far so good but sometimes I just want to rinse my mouth out after a meal...so good to know that there are no Police, Or Flying Mokeys...lol

I had the Duodenal Switch procedure and I drink water or milk with all my meals, about 1 Cup total, not just 1 sip.

It is okay to take a sip here and there with a meal. I find that when something is spicy I need to do that. Its all about not making it a habit and not drinking alot. I talked with my clinic about this and the above is what they told me.
