Just like I said in the food thread... weekends are hard because of a lack of order and schedule.... so how are you making an effort to move more today?

Me?

I am about to head off to Afton to ski as part of a ski team competition for my work. So that'll go until 1 or 2.

Then if the weather permits and the feeling is right, I will be at Buck Hill or somewhere later tonight!

How about you?

I had my first official workout since surgery today.  Bought a treadmill on Friday and while it's a dinosaur in the living room, I'm go glad I have it.  Went 15 minutes, only .66 mile, but plan on building slowly and using it EVERY day.

Elena,

Because I put on a few pounds, I decided to kick myself in the butt this weekend.....

Today I've gone on the treadmill 2 times, 30 minutes each, burned a total of 640.2 calories and walked 3.497 miles....

I plan to go on the treadmill again after supper........

I DID IT!!  I walked a 5K on the treadmill in under one hour!!  I am finding that on weekends it is easier to use the treadmill in the condo fitness room than it is to get to the gym.  Proud of myself for walking that ar!!

Keep on moving!!

I was up North at our lake property this morning and I walked 2.5 miles before we headed home.  The Chickadees and Blue Jays were chattering away inthe morning sunshine.  It was actually warm enough to smell the pine trees, too.   Fabulous!
