TUES: The benefits of regular exercise!

There are obvious benefits to regular exercise... so what are they? I pulled some from the Mayo Clinic's website. Let's start with one:
Exercise stimulates various brain chemicals, which may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed than you were before you worked out. You'll also look better and feel better when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem. Exercise even reduces feelings of depression and anxiety.

With that said, how are you going to move to brighten your mood today?

Me? I am going to my apartment's gym (for the first time ever) and walking/running on either the eliptical or treadmill for 15-20 minutes.

How about you?

I'm either going to do some serious deep-cleaning of the house (for company coming on Saturday!), or I'll get on that Gazelle for 30+ minutes!  Maybe both???

UPDATE - I did neither - we went for a nice, long, COLD walk this evening!!!

As soon as I sit Lauren down for dinner, I'm getting on the treadmill for at least 15 minutes with hand weights.

It was off to the gym this morning for 60 minutes of cardio (walk, eliptical/bike) and upper body weight lifting.  There is a woman there who is 5 years out from RNY and really helps to keep me motivated.  I have learned a lot from her and from the trainers there!  My next goal there is to increase the intensity by increasing the resistance on the eliptical.
