RNY and birth control. Help!
At first I was nervous about it and the doctor explained alot to me about it. And I figured I would give it a try. I am so glad I did I can't even tell it's there and it's easy to remove. You can even take it out for up to 3 hours if you don't want to have relations with it in. And no it does just pop out. But talk to your doctor about they are very informative.

As an OB nurse I would suggest the Nuva Ring vs the depo shot....for a couple of reasons...I have been on both. The depo shot is the hardest type of birth control to reverse...Yes you don't get your period, but when you go off it can take a long time if you want to get pregnant. I didn't like how it made me feel either....crabby, bloated, irritable. The nuva ring is nice...I don't know it's in there. My partner could feel it though. He said it didn't bother him though. It's not hard to get out our put in. I have had to use tampons though for some breakthrough bleeding and it did come out with that once, so be cautious there and be aware if it is in or not. You can just slip it back in if thats the case. Good luck hun!
