Keep portions the same but up your calories... skip on the lower calorie or fat foods and just indulge a little more...  I've heard tracking works well too... try for a week to see how many calories you are taking in and how many you are burning with exercise...

Otherwise, I am sure some RNYers here are experienced with that... I know the weight can sometimes go too low and then bounce back to a healthy weight.

Those are just some thoughts.

Kathi,

Can I ask why your Doctor wants you to stop loosing?

According to your ticker you still have weight to loose?

If your real tall, I would agree with him.......But if your under 5'10" I'd say you'd be fine loosing another 10-20 pounds.........IMHO........

I think you look great.......I would go by what you want......If you want to stop loosing than add calories at your meals, I wouldn't start snacking, that is a BAD habit and you could gain weight.........

Kathi - I had to go back to your profile to see who you were. I recognized the name, but not your picture! WOW!!! You look so wonderful!

I see what Kelly is talking about with your ticker but I'm guessing it's not current, since you stated you've lost 175 and that showed less than that. So, it looks like you've lost beyond your goal weight and I'm guessing that's why your doc wants you to stop, is that right?

Has your surgeon's office given you any ideas on how to stop the train?

Try posting the the RNY board on here, too. They have many more members and perhaps one of them will have some sound advice for you as well.

Hate to see you bring bad habits/snacks back in as they may set you up for future weight gain beyond your comfort zone.

Do you consistently keep losing though or do you find you do have a plateau/stall for a while in between losses?

Oh, don't forget the Grads board, too!

Good luck - keep us posted.

I am constantly losing.  It is actually pretty ironic.  I went to see my dr. and he told me to boost my calories and not exercise so much.  Not sure i can stop going to the gym.

KATHI!
Wow! I haven't scene you on here since I had my surgery in April!  Thanks again for coming to Howard Lake to meet me and give me tips before my surgery!  We should do it again sometime!

You look amazing!!!!  Way to work that tool!

Best Wishes on your quest to stop lossing and maintain- I am 10 months out and have been at the same weight give or take 2 pounds for 2 months now but I am happy with it so I am just trying to stick to my surgeons plan- I am bad though and usually sneak snacks in that I shouldn't - hence no weight loss lately.
